Airports are often experienced as places of transition rather than destinations in themselves. This project explored how participatory experiences within Glasgow Airport could strengthen connections between travellers and the city's cultural identity. Beginning with comparative research into international airport experiences, participatory art practices and place-making strategies, I developed an interactive service concept that invited travellers to contribute their own memories, impressions and encounters. Combining service design methods, experience prototyping and visual communication, the proposal reimagined the airport as a space for collective storytelling rather than passive transit. Following the studio presentation, the proposal received particularly positive feedback from KPMG representatives and was later considered as a potential reference for future developments at Glasgow Airport.
